Sitting Between Sets is a No No

Sitting Between Sets is a No No

When you have just finished your set stay on your feet. You should do this for a couple of reasons. The first is chances are in your everyday life you do a fair amount of sitting so staying on your feet in the gym is a better idea. The other reason is that if you are on your feet you will be more likely to get into the next set or machine quicker. The more time you spend resting the less results you will se. Remember a thirty second rest period is more than enough.

Free Weights

Don’t rely on machines too much. Using machines is a great when looking to isolate muscle groups but compound lifting is much better for your workout as a whole. A nice blend of compound and isolated lifting is what you are after. A machine will help to control the weight you lift. If you start using free weights more your body will have to manage the weight you are lifting. You will see more benefit this way.

If you can fitting your workout either before 7am or after 7pm is the best time to get a spacious gym floor.

Lift Heavier

Lift Heavier

Too many people lift the wrong weight. Whether that is too heavy or not heavy enough. The truth is that you must be lifting more than you can lift easily to see the full benefit. Remember this the results you see comes from how much you challenge yourself. If you don't lift heavier or try to lift right up to the point of failure you will not see full results.
